Philippa Ghosh is a multi-disciplinary filmmaker whose work spans across emotional, psychological, and character-driven storytelling. She is also a classically-trained pianist and composer.
Philippa has a distinctive approach, creating bold stories that explore human complexity and the dark side of the human condition, often blending elements of psychological thriller, horror and drama. Philippa’s aim is to transform the frightening into something beautiful.
Her debut short film, ‘Shame On You’ (2024) was a highly visual and poetic exploration of mental illness and suicide. It screened at Sick Chick Flicks and the Long Island International Film Festival.
Her feature screenplay ‘Nak Muay’ was invited to the Reykjavik International Film Festival Talent Lab and further developed at the HerArts Script Development Lab in Italy in 2024.
Philippa’s work is driven by a fierce dedication to creating honest, emotional work that push boundaries and explores important issues. Whether through the lens of a camera or a classical arrangement, Philippa crafts experiences that are both thought-provoking, emotive and deeply personal.
